2003-12-06 - NEW YORK - For the past 83 years, the Toy Knights of America, Inc., a charitable organization comprised of toy industry professionals, has been distributing donated toys to underprivileged children. This has been made possible by the generous contributions of many toy companies. This year, however, ages of the group hasn't received many age-appropriate toys for girls, ages 3 to 12.
Toy donations may be sent to Mike Berger, Toy Knights of America, 200 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10010 for arrival before December 19. Diane Creston, Toy Knights spokesperson, said "Contributions are greatly appreciated by the Toy Knights and especially by the children who receive toys during the group's annual holiday event which will be held at the International Toy Center on December 19, 2006."
The young actress, Hallie Eisenberg will attend the upcoming Toy Knights Children's Party on December 19th in New York. Hallie was a big hit at last year's event and she'll be there again this year helping Santa and his friends. The kids will also delight in a special magic show, complete with donuts courtesy of Dunkin Donuts. More good news for the Toy Knights kids...Ronald McDonald will attend the party and the kids will be treated to Happy Meals. Yum!
Santa and his helpers will present all donated toys to children from the New York Foundling Hospital and the Edwin Gould Foundation at this holiday party hosted in the Toy Center's lobby.
