Carrera's participation in this
"even better
than last year" event provided an excellent opportunity to reach consumers in a relaxed, fun-filled, family atmosphere. Over 4,000
people from the tri-state area, CA, Ohio, PA, FL, AZ, as well as international tourists attended the celebration.

Carrera Celebrates Swiss National Day!
Carrera, with its sleek slot cars, took part in the all-day Swiss National Day event at Pier 54, a prime 55.000 square foot Hudson river location on Manhattan's West Side. It proved to be an optional location for an open air event. The new Carrera EvolutioN racing models are equipped with front
(Xenon) and brake lights which go on when the vehicle slows down, or
stops. They are totally fascinating to watch on the track...day, night, or at
any time!
Carrera's Monza GT Racing, the historic Italian course, is
a classic example of dynamic shape and design. On this windy 24.9 ft.
long track, that also included a crossing, fans of all ages enjoyed the experience
and thrill of GT racing. The unique
combination of 1:24 track and 1:32 scale cars, plus the track surface featuring several magnet positions, enabled the cars
to achieve sensational realistic drifting action.
A drawing was also held for a Carrera GO!!!
Sets featuring the dynamic, world famous Spider-Man. and his all American sports
cars, the Chevrolet Corvette. Doctor Octopus, not to be
outdone, "hired" a Dodge Viper for his disgraceful actions. It was hot
super hero action when the two arch-rivals battled their disputes automotively.
