PBS Affiliate KENW-TV Receives Gift of a Custom Kitchen Facility by Life Strategist and Entrepreneur Lance Heft
11/06/08
- New York, NY - Diane Creston, spokesperson for Lance Heft, is pleased
to announce that a custom kitchen facility, designed and donated by
entrepreneur Lance Heft, has been installed in the new KENW-TV Creative
Living studios in Portales, NM. Creston said, "We are delighted that
Lance was able to help Sheryl Borden, VP of KENW, and PBS with a
kitchen facility for Creative Living, and look forward to actually
seeing everything in place when we visit again on November 11th."
Creston states, "Last
September, when Heft appeared on three segments of Creative Living to
share the background for his "Your Turn To Win" empowerment program,
Sheryl and Duane gave us a tour of the new studio. When they showed us
the space that would be dedicated to a kitchen, dining room, and a
living room, Lance asked Sheryl about her set development plans, and
nothing was firm at that point. Heft was so inspired by the great work
that KENW does for the University and the local community, he donated
the custom kitchen and all of the appliances on the spot. I remember
Lance saying, Sheryl, whatever you want, it's yours."
Heft
states, "With funding so difficult to come by these days, I am always
honored and proud to assist someone who is making a difference in their
community. Sheryl, Duane, their support staff and all of the students
at KENW have done so much to make the new studio a success for their
community, I felt inspired and was my duty to donate whatever they
needed."
"In this same spirit, I'm very excited about the ENMU
Seminar on Wednesday, November 12th at 10:00 AM where my good friend,
Diane Creston, a New York Marketing executive, and I will be sharing
life strategies and career insights with the students and faculty.
Going out into the world in this current environment will be very
difficult for the students, I want to make sure that have at least some
idea of how the world works outside of college life."

fire. Heft
said, "They deserved it, and they went through a lot in a very short
period of time. Through all of the hardship, they remained a close and
loving family with an incredibly positive outlook. This family inspires
